  • Option 2 (cost-effective): 5mm toughened safety glass with Aluminium or Stainless Steel mesh screens covering the opening panel only.
     

• Sliding Doors:

  • Use 5mm toughened safety glass.
  • If a screen is requested, Aluminium or Stainless Steel mesh must be used.
     

BAL 29 Requirements

BAL 40 Requirements

• Sliding Windows:

  • Use 6mm toughened safety glass.
  • Include Stainless Steel mesh screens covering the full face of the window.

• Sliding Doors:

  • Use 6mm toughened safety glass.
  • Include Stainless Steel mesh screens covering the full face of the door.
     

Flame Zone (FZ) Requirements

• Windows and Doors:
  • Must be completely protected by bushfire shutters.
