Turning an Aussie Touring Dream into Reality – Grey Nomad RV Shed

When Garry and Ingrid approached us, they had a clear vision: to create a shed that would not only protect their motorhome but also serve as a comfortable retreat when taking a break from their travels.

After relocating from interstate to the peaceful village of Crows Nest near Toowoomba, they thoroughly researched which shed company could bring their dream to life. We're proud they chose Dinky Di Sheds, and even prouder to showcase the results of their vision and our high-quality products.

We custom-designed the motorhome section to perfectly fit their van, ensuring ample space to maneuver, reverse, and park without the limitations of knee braces or unnecessary columns.

The adjacent lock-up area was seamlessly integrated with the main shed, following the same 11-degree roofline with a single sheet length to minimize joins. For comfort, we installed a custom vent in the van area and fully insulated the lock-up section.

The shed is clad in Colorbond Woodland Grey with Monument trims. The motorhome space measures 4.6m x 14m x 4.3m, while the enclosed lean-to lock-up spans 4m x 14m x 3.5m to the gutter. For ventilation, we included two sliding glass windows with fiberglass mesh screens to keep insects out.

Additionally, we installed VERMASEAL barrier flashing around the entire perimeter where the wall sheets meet the concrete. This special flashing ensures compliance with Colorbond warranties by preventing direct contact between the steel and concrete.
