In Australia, there is no specific standard height for sheds that applies universally across the country.

That being said, a good height to start with for a standard family car is a shed with a 2.4 metre eave or gutter height. This is the standard size of many sheds used to house average sized cars. A 2.4 metre shed will give you a roller door clear opening height of approximately 2.0 metres, which is what you will need as a minimum.

If you have a tall 4WD you might want to raise the gutter height up to around 2.7m which in turn would give you access height of about 2.3 metres, allowing around 400mm for the drum of the roller door to fit above the opening.

So, the rule is to allow between 400mm to 600mm above the desired opening height for your roller door drum to fit in above.
